Portland, Oregon, USA — Akie Iwai (JPN) claimed her first LPGA Tour title with a commanding four-shot victory at The Standard Portland Classic, finishing at 24-under-par after a bogey-free final-round 66. The tournament was held August 14–17 at Columbia Edgewater Country Club.
Akie Iwai (JPN) surged to the top with a brilliant third-round 64 and maintained her lead on the final day, showcasing consistent and confident play. She used the EZONE GT “Iwai Sisters” color model driver and EZONE CB511 forged irons, combining distance and stability throughout the tournament.
This marks Akie Iwai’s seventh career win and first on the U.S. tour, following her twin sister Chisato Iwai’s(JPN) earlier LPGA victory in Mexico. Together, they became the fourth pair of sisters — and the first-ever twins — to win on the LPGA Tour. Chisato Iwai (JPN) also impressed at the Portland Classic, finishing third at 19-under-par.These results make 2025 a breakthrough year for the Iwai sisters.
